To bring back the golden age of hockey, Rana Zaheer Hockey Academy has prepared a roadmap. Rana Zaheer made a roadmap program after a long consultation process with Secretary Asif Bajwa Pakistan Hockey Federation to finalise the Program.
In the first phase of the roadmap, hockey and hockey balls will be distributed among U-16 players in remote areas. In the second phase, U-16 and U-18 players will be trained in modern sports skills. The training of these players on a daily basis will be carefully reviewed and corrections will be made as and when required. In the second phase, coaching clinics will be set up to train the coaches of the players. Modern technical and psychological training will be imparted in the coaching workshop.
In the third stage the shortlisted players will be given the complete equipment of the game when I include shoes, track suits and shirts. In the fourth and final round, competitions between the players will be held at home and away or intermittently in Lahore. The modern skills taught to the players and coaches during the competitions will be tested and reviewed. In this regard, when Rana Zaheer, the coach of the national junior team and the director of the academy, was contacted, he said that the entire program would take a period of one year. Will be. He further said that the preparation of hockey for the first part of the roadmap has been completed, work is also being done on other phases.
