The final of Dar Hockey Academy Lahore and Fayyaz Hockey Academy Sargodha at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore of the 20th Hi-Tech Under-17 Hockey Tournament 20 being played jointly by Dar Hockey Academy Lahore and Sports Board Punjab. Won from Dr. Mahmood Arshad, CEO, Hi-Tech Mills Pvt. Ltd. was the special guest of the final match played today.
On the arrival of the special guest, he was received by the Chairman Organizing Committee of the tournament, Olympian Tauqeer Dar. He was accompanied by Legend Olympian Manzoor Jr., Olympian Hassan Sardar, Olympian Dr. Tariq Aziz Pakistan Junior Hockey Team Head Coach Olympian Danish Kaleem, Tahir Zaman, Olympian Sheikh Usman, Brigadier Tahir Saeed Butt and Mirza Waheed. On the arrival of special guest Dr. Mahmood Arshad, he was presented a bouquet of flowers and introduced to the players of both the teams.
In the 3/4 position match played at 11:30 pm today, Tahir Zaman Hockey Academy defeated Fayyaz Hockey Academy by 03 goals to 02 on penalty shootout. The match was tied at one goal in the allotted time
In the final match played today, Dar Hockey Academy Lahore defeated Fayyaz Hockey Academy Sargodha by 02 goals to nil. Abdul Rahman and Mohammad Uzair scored one goal each for Dar Hockey Academy. At the end of the final, the special guest Ms. Mr. also gave trophy and cash prizes to the winner team.Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said that we will continue to hold such tournaments in the future and will do our best for the development and promotion of Pakistan Hockey. The event was attended by a large number of spectators and members of the hockey family at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore who watched both the matches played today.Hafiz Atif Malik, Banish Hayat, Zahid Hameed and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din officiated in today’s matches. Munawar Hussain Chaudhry was the umpires manager while tournament director Mohammad Shafiq Bhatti and technical officials included Mirza Waheed, Khurram Malik, Mohammad Yaqub and Zia Bukhari.
