Former National Hockey Goalkeeper Inspector Police Qadeer Bashir promoted to DSP.Former goalkeeper of Pakistan Hockey Team who is performing his professional duties as Inspector in Police Department has been promoted to the post of DSP. An educated family from Manga Mandi, a suburb of Lahore, had joined the police department on the basis of sports during his student days and became an ASI. During his studies, he obtained two postgraduate degrees from Punjab University and made the country and the nation famous in sports. Represented the Pakistan hockey team and as the national hockey goalkeeper along with the Pakistan Hockey Squad raised the green crescent flag abroad.
The late Bashir Ahmad Khan Advocate, father of DSP Qadeer Bashir, was a high profile lawyer and was considered as one of the prominent and reputed lawyers in the Supreme Court while his brother Javed Bashir Advocate also followed in his father’s footsteps. Alia owns her own special bachchan in the houses and through Javed High School in her hometown, the residents are moving forward with the mission of parents in spreading the light of education in Manga Mandi, including the brothers. His other brothers Waqar Bashir is a former hockey player and a well-known businessman and Nadeem Bashir is associated with Pakistan’s leading journalism organization and is carrying out his professional responsibilities.
