The final match of the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship was won by Faisalabad by defeating Lahore 0-4.
Special guests of the final match Provincial Minister for Sports Rai Timur Bhatti and Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation Olympian Asif Bajwa distributed medals and prizes to the players.
He was accompanied by Secretary Sports Fawad Hashim Rabbani, DG Sports Board Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh, HF Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Hussain Jr., National Hockey Team Head Coach Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Former PHF Secretary Rana Mujahid Ali, Tournament Director and Secretary Punjab Hockey Association Col. R. Asif Naz Khokhar, Deputy Director Sports and Organizing Secretary Chand Parveen and other officials were also present.
The final match was played between Faisalabad and Lahore. From Faisalabad, Muhammad Usman scored two goals, Ghulam Mustafa and Muhammad Sajid scored one goal each. By the end of the match, Lahore failed to score despite several attacks. Hamza Shahbaz of Faisalabad was declared the best goalkeeper, Hanan Shapid of Lahore was declared the top scorer and Player of the Tournament.
Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation Olympian Asif Bajwa paid tributes to Sports Board Punjab and all the officials for organizing the successful event while congratulating the winning team Faisalabad on winning the final match.
