Lahore Lions won the final of the second Hockey 09 Super Hockey League organized by Rana Zaheer Hockey Academy by two goals to one. The final match was played today between Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Lions at 12 .15 pm Olympian Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation was the special guest of today’s final match.
According to details, the final match of the Super Hockey League being played at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore was played today between the teams of Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Lions in which Lahore Lions won by two goals to one. Rana Sohail and Ehtesham scored one goal each for the winning team while Muhammad Hammad scored the only goal for the Lahore Dolphins. The special guest of today’s final match was Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation Olympian Asif Bajwa on whose arrival he was warmly welcomed by the tournament administration and presented with a bouquet of flowers and showered with flower petals. Chief Selector of Pakistan Hockey Federation Olympian Manzoor Jr., Head Coach of Pakistan Hockey Team Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Olympian Khalid Hameed, Olympian Muhammad Thaqleen, Major Arshad Javed Khan Manj and Secretary Punjab Hockey Association Col (retd) Asif Naz Khokhar also attended today’s final. Secretary General Olympian Asif Bajwa was present at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore to watch the match. A large number of hockey families and spectators also watched the final match.
Today’s final match was supervised by Yasir Khurshid International, Banish Hayat International and Mazhar Waseem, with umpires manager Rashid Mahmood Butt and assistant umpires manager Dilawar Hussain Bhatti. The technical officials of today’s final match were Saqib Niaz, Israr Jafari, Rizwanul Haq and Shiraz Khurshid Azam. Shafqat Hussain Malik acted as the tournament director while Muhammad Yaqub was the assistant director. Today’s final match was telecast live on YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/GreenShirts with the services of Pakistan Hockey Federation video analyst Nadeem Khan Lodhi. All the administration and organizational matters of the tournament were handled by the organizing secretary of the tournament, Rai Usman Akbar Khan Kharal in a very efficient manner. Tournament officials Mujahid Afzal International, Zia Burki, Mubashir Ali Chatta and Habib-ur-Rehman Chhatti also performed their duties beautifully.
