Secretary General of Pakistan Hockey Federation Mohammad Asif Bajwa announced Junior Team Management and Training Camp at PHF Head Office Lahore with Chairman Selection Committee Razor Hussain Junior.
Addressing a press conference of Asif Bajwa, Secretary, Pakistan Hockey Federation, said that Happy New Year to the entire nation, New Year would be the best year for hockey. The New Year is about to start anew. This year the hockey team will move on to achievements and gain a foothold. When this year’s 2020 is over, hockey will be a lot bigger.
We held a junior championship, giving talent at junior level the opportunity to advance. Players participating in the Pakistan National Junior Hockey Championship will be given a chance at the international level. Junior players were not given proper opportunities.
The Chargers will play the Junior Hockey Asia Cup in Dhaka, Pakistan Junior Hockey Team. There will also be a qualifying round for the Junior Asia Cup, Junior World Cup. Four teams from the Asia Cup will qualify for the Junior World Cup.
Pakistan Hockey Federation Secretary Asif Bajwa announced junior team management in consultation with President PHF Brigadier R Khalid Sajjad Khokhar. Danish Klim head coach, along with former captain hockey team Mohammad Imran, Mudassar Ali Khan and Rana Zaheer Babar will be. There has always been a lack of fitness in the team and that is why we have given Abid Hameed a fitness position. All management is given the responsibility to fully prepare the boys. The coaches that have been deployed have performed very well in hockey. Danish Klim, Mohammad Imran and Mudassar, Rana Zaheer Babar are coaching their own department’s teams and these coaches have done special work with the players.
Pakistan’s hockey journey is moving towards improvement which will get better and better.
Soon Azlan Shah will also be camping for the hockey tournament.
Ranking system has changed. Now it is tempting to get points based on the performances of matches. Pakistan hockey will play more than forty matches this year to improve the ranking points. I promise that this year the hockey team will not come in at number 17. Pakistan Hockey Federation is expanding its activities. At the domestic level, it is planned to hold junior and senior hockey tournaments. Pakistan Hockey League will also be in place this year. The Pakistan Hockey Federation will soon be aware of the full plan and schedule. We have hockey events and we are going to have hockey events for women in the coming days. Pakistan Hockey Federation does not have the resources.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation is working in good faith. We need media, government and public support right now.
