Under the auspices of District Hockey Association Rawalpindi and Divisional Sports Officer Rawalpindi, Olympian Naseer Banda Hockey Tournament Rawalpindi played the final of the tournament today in which ARL Club defeated Shadman Hockey Club by three goals to nil. Amjad Khan, Umar Rashid and Hars Rashid scored one goal each for KRL Club.
Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (retd) Anwar-ul-Haq was the special guest of today’s final match. On his arrival, he was presented a bouquet of flowers and later he was introduced to the players. Olympian Naseer Banda Hockey Tournament was played at Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium in Rawalpindi from 18th December 20th to 29th December 20th and a total of 16 teams from Rawalpindi Division and Islamabad participated in this tournament. At the end of the final match, the special guest Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (R) Anwar-ul-Haq presented trophies and cash prizes to the winning team while the second place team received trophies and other prizes.
